Die Entstehung des Königreich Aram / Emergence of the Aram Kingdom
In der Zeit um 1050 v. Chr. nahm Israel immer mehr Gebiete des Ostjordanlandes ein und kommt so der Stadt Damaskus immer näher. Ein Soldat Namens Resus spaltet sich von Israel ab und etabliert sich in Damaskus. Hier errichtet er sein eigenes Königreich . Genauso entstehen noch viele andere Königreiche im syrischen Raum. Der Urenkel Resus, Benhadad, zieht gegen Israel in den Krieg. Aram Damaskus verliert gegen das viel stärkere Israel. Allerdings schließen sie ein Friedensabkommen bzw. Handelsabkommen. Dieses besagt das Israel die eroberten Städte zurückgibt wenn es im Gegenzug eine Handelsniederlassung in Damaskus bekommt. Auf diesen Handel ließ sich Israel ein, da Damaskus durch die Nähe zum Meer und der Wüste zu dieser Zeit eine sehr wichtige Handelsstadt war. -- // -- // -- In the time around 1050 b.c. the israeli kingdom took over big parts of the territories east of jordan getting closer to the city of Damascus. A soldier named Resus splits from Israel an establishes himself and his new Kingdom in Damascus . In the same way, a lot of different small kingdoms are established in the region. The great-grandson of Resus, Benhadad, declares war to Israel. Aram Damascus loses against the much stronger Israel, but the two kingdoms agree on a peace treaty and trade agreement. Israel gives back the conquered cities if it is allowed to have a commercial settlement in Damascus. Israel was willing to accepted this treaty because Damascus is located near the coast and the desert and was one of the most important cities for trade.
