ub01_elemente.jpg

Define the five following elements in the Arab world: air, green, light, material and water. Try to be as abstract as possible using just 3 to 5 images and little text.

A-104 Black _ Layout
Black allows the auto-analysis, the introspection.
Means dignity and it is also associated with mystery.
Many passages, in Arabic architecture, refer us to our interior world, where we absorb what is private and what is public.

1 White _ Layout
White brings us peace, sincerity, pureness, truth, innocence and calmness.
Nothing more pure and relaxed than a white point, giving some clarity to our minds, in the middle of the numerous colors of the world.
We find the peace for our spirit in the few “whites” in our lives.

A-102 Red _ Layout
Red stimulates.
Means elegance, passion, conquest and leadership.
What more simple as a Red Carpet to demonstrate the importance of a local?
The Mosque is a place to respect, it is a place for cult.
Even the meaning of leadership is under the use of the “Red Carpet” because religion as a strong power in people’s lives.

3 Brown _ Layout
Brown is the color of the Land.
Means maturity, conscience and responsibility.
It is associated to comfort, stability, resistance and simplicity.
This image gives us the contrast between resistence and simplicity, of the brown mountain, and the chaos and unstability, of the city.

1 Blue _ Layout
Blue is the color of the sky, the spirit and the thought.
It symbolizes loyalty, the allegiance and the personality.
It also symbolizes the ideal and the dream.
Dreams, what are they more than open windows to our future?

Dusk in Damascus.

Picture 1 of 4

The light reminds the sand and the dessert. Old Arabian forms join their shadows to modern profiles. The red warm colour observed at dusk and dawn is indicator of a high concentration of aerosols, tiny particles suspended in the air.
